Since Baby A will be starting solids in the next few weeks, I got together with a few other moms for a baby food making party. We all made a different kind of baby food, apples, pears, peas, carrots, etc then split it all up. It was super easy to do and very inexpensive not to mention so much better for our babies. It was a lot of fun to get together with other moms who have babies the same age, it was nice sharing baby stories. All our babies are about 1 month a part and it was cool to see how they all differed in size and activities they each could and couldn't do. Here is a picture of Baby A's new friends, from left to right: Addi 5 months, Carly 5 1/2 months, Heath 6 months, Orry 6 months, and Baby A 5 months. Welcome to our family website! We're glad you stopped by to visit! We find our family lives busy and sometimes lose touch with those we enjoy communicating with! We've created this blog to keep you updated on our lives as we are living them! We would enjoy hearing from you or reading your occasional posted comment! You can click on a picture to enlarge it or save it. Enjoy our family moments!

Grandma C Comes For A Visit
Baby A Loves Her Puppy
Mommy and Me
So, I finally tried mommy and me classes. I have been wanting to try them since I had Baby A but didn't want to go alone. Hillary and Baby Audrey (Right) had been going and invited Michelle and Baby Addison (left) and me and Baby A. It was a great workout! There were parts of the workout that we include the babies and other parts that we parked them in their strollers. It was nice to meet other moms with babies close to the same age that all enjoy working out. I can't wait to go back again.

Playdate & Dinner
Our friends Tim, Michelle, and Baby Addison came over for dinner and a playdate. We met Tim and Michelle in our birthing classes, Baby A is 5 days older then Addison. It is great D and Tim have a lot in common and have taken a trip to the dunes and are planning more, and Michelle and I get along great as well. It is nice to have people close that we have so much in common with, and sharing baby storys is lots of fun. The girls had a blast playing together.

J Survives Cheer Camp
Aunt E's having a BABY!!!
That's right my sister E just found out that they will be expecting baby #3. E is due on April 3, 2008, but we all know how early she has her babies, so we are actually expecting it mid to late March 2008. D, E and both boys are very excited and hoping Baby #3 is a girl. We will keep you posted as the pregnancy progresses.

Baby A Turns 5 Months Old!
Yup that right! Baby A turned 5 Months old on Saturday the 18th. She has learned to sit up on her own, and she is drinking out of a sippy cup on her own. Baby A also LOVES her feet, any chance she gets to hold them or suck on them she does. She has also become quite the talker. I wonder who she gets that from) Baby A does so good at holding her head and chest up when lying on her stomach, it won't be too much longer until she's scootin'. Here are some pictures of all her new "firsts".

Baby A has New Ears!
It's a Bird, It's a Plane, No it's J
If you all remember J joined an All Star Cheerleading Team earlier this summer. J has been practicing all summer and will be going to "camp" later this month to learn their competition routine. She has learned so much and has become quite the flyer. We have all had a lot of fun with it. With my cheerleading background D and I are able to play & practice with J. Here are some pictures of us "playing" at the park.

Look how much Baby A has grown!
Look how much Baby A has grown. She is no longer sleeping in her bassinet in our room but I put her in it just to see how big she has gotten and WOW what a difference. The first picture was taken when she was just five days old on March 23rd, and the second picture was taken at four months old on August 2nd. She pretty much takes up all the space. Our baby girl is growing way too fast!

Night in the Pines

We spent a night with our good friends S and R at their cabin in Munds Park. We had a great time. We went on a nice walk in the evening and as you see Baby A fell asleep (as usual) in the Snugli, the next morning we had breakfast and S took us on a tour of the area on the Ranger. While on the ranger ride we spotted some elk in someone elses yard we were so close to them it was neat. After our tour we went to the park area played Frisbee and began our friendly Bates vs Karg family competitions. We competed in Foosball, Table Tennis, & Pull ups. Us Bates's didn't do so good this time around, but we will get them in the long run. =) The weather was beautiful, and all the kids had a blast, we can't wait to do it again soon.
