It's a Girl?!?

This came as a big surprise to us, as you know my Brother and his now Ex Girlfriend Carmen are expecting their 1st baby in March, in October They had an ultrasound and found out it was a boy. Well on January 10th my sister joined Carmen for her 3D ultra sound, much to our surprise we also found out that baby boy it was not...IT's A GIRL!!! We are all very excited and are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Baby Zoey. =) It's a Girl!

A visit from Grandma!!

Earlier this month my Mom and Step Dad, Dan came up for a quick visit. He was buying/fixing/something with a generator for a motor home, afterwards they stopped by here. It was so nice to see them and spend time with them, even if it was just for a short time. I felt really bad, because it was short notice so I didn't have time to prepare anything great for dinner...get this, i an=m so bad...I fed them leftovers. =/ They seemed to enjoy them. 9 Months

So as usual I am behind again, so this will start the beginning of a mass of posts and this time I am going to work backwards. =}

I just cannot believe how quick Allison is growing up, she is trying so hard to catch up to her big sister Ashley. I am also just amazed how much I have forgotten about each of these stages from Ashley to Allison. Allison is all over the place, she is a speed demon crawler and pulls herself on anything that she can. She will hold on o the couch or table and walk around it. She is very happy and had the cutest giggle. She really hasn't been talking too much, maybe because her big sister talks SO MUCH. =) I am sure she will when she is ready. She definitely seems to have more of Dan's temperament..quiet and laid back, not like her sister who is a WILD monkey. We also think she got my temper and not Dan's, WHEW! Allison got her second tooth on January 6th, and is eating like a champ, I don't she doesn't eat anything we put in front of her. Well, except baby foods that is...she has really taking a liking to pancakes and waffles, mmmm. No Dr's appointment till she is one so I don't have a weight or length for you this time, but we hope you enjoy the pictures and video of Allison from December 25th- January 24th.

Dan's Fire

Prescott Fire had their first fire call on New Years Day, well technically it broke out at 2 am so it was actually January 2nd. Let me just paint a scenario for you. It is 2 degrees out and everything around is covered in snow... now add water to the mix...what do you get a HUGE ice skating rink. They were able to save the house, but it was not an easy save, they spent almost 7 hours on it, the water was freezing in the hoses and as it was being pumped out of the truck. Here are some pictures of it.

The hoses were frozen, they couldn't roll them up to put them back on the fire truck instead they loaded them into a pick=up and drove them back to the station. It took days for these hoses to defrost.

Snow Day

We had our first big winter storm just before the new year. We woke up the morning of the 30th to a very white yard, it was so pretty. Ashley was so excited to walk out of her room and see it, she has been anxiously awaiting it. Usually when we get snow it starts melting off within a day, not this time we had below freezing temperatures for a week so it syuck around, it was kinda nice. After our big storm, we headed into town to do some sledding, it was so cold, but so fun. Tell me if Ashley isn't Dans daughter, "ok Ashley 1 last tube, because Allison is getting tired so we need to go." Ashley: "Ok, then can we go get some ice cream?" LOL Here she is a frozen popsicle and all she wanted to do was go get ice cream. =) The view from our front porch

The snow was actually very dry, it was hard to make snowballs or a snow man, it didn't stick very well.
