I cannot tell you how blessed I am to be a mom. I love my three girls so much! They all are so special and all 3 absolutely adorable and amazing. I had a wonderful Mothers Day, and hope all the rest of you Mom's did as well. Well I didn't get to sleep in because I got kicked out of my own bed, my own fault, right? lol We started our day by going to church, then Dan came home and made me a yummy lunch complete with a Mojito, then I got to take a nap, I tell ya this was the highlight of my day, then we were back up to the neighbors house for a Mothers Day BBQ. What a day! it was awesome. =)
So funniest thing on Mothers Day. Ashley was so sweet and actually remembered it was Mothers Day, so when she got up she came up to me and wished me a Happy Mothers Day, as I sit there holding her and loving her, she pulls away and says"do you have something to tell me" I know I gave her a totally blank stare, before I could say anything she said "I'm a Mommy too" I said "oh, I'm sorry Happy Mothers Day" she thanked me then got up to check on her babies. As we walked up to church I would get Happy Mothers Day wishes and she would smile and say Thank you, she thought they were talking to her. =)
**For some reason this one never posted on the 12th like it was supposed too, oops**
We headed down to Maricopa a couple weekends ago to celebrate Ruth's 3rd birthday party. We have been very good friends with Rollie, Mindy & Ruth for a long time and it was great to be able to go down and spend the day with them. The girls played so well together and had a ton of fun and I enjoyed catching up with Mindy & Rollie. I am sad that we live so far apart, with the busy life schedules we both have we don't get to see each other near enough. Hopefully we can work on that. =) Here are a few pictures and videos from the party. Thank you guys, we had a great time, love & miss ya!
Ashlyn (Ruths Cousin), Ruth, Allison & Ashley
She loved her dump truck
and her new guitar too
Ashley liked it too =)
Mindy made a cute, yummy Handy Manny Birthday cake.
Man am I getting up there! I turned 33 on Cinco de Mayo. =) I have to tell ya, I had an amazing birthday. Which I believe everyone should, my birthday is MY day, I should be able to do what I want, sleep in, wear PJ's all day, eat what I want etc, it is MY day, I can do what I want. Well, this year Dan was scheduled to work, I was kinda bummed but not really because we had plans to celebrate on the 6th, well he surprised me and called in sick on the 5th, WOW pretty awesome. I got to stay in bed a little longer then normal, while he got up with the girls and made them breakfast etc, he even helped Ashley make me a birthday card that turned out so cute. Next we headed to town so i can go to lunch with a friend of mine, get this, he not only watched our 2 girls but my friend Jessica's daughter as well, so we could enjoy a nice quiet lunch, and we did. Then we went for hike, it was so beautiful out and I even got to take a few pictures. =) We headed home to have dinner with our neighbors, they had planned a special birthday dinner for me, homemade pizza, yummy cake and ice cream. I had such an amazing day. Thank you so much honey for making it special, thanks to Jessica for going to lunch with me and to the Curry's for my birthday dinner. I also got lot's of phone calls, texts and emails, thank you all for remembering me.
Yes, we did still go out on Friday night. We had a sitter come to the house while we went to dinner with Scot & Jeanette, after dinner we went and had a drink and listened to live music. It was a really great night.
After Ruth's Birthday Party, I had the pleasure of snapping a few family pictures of Rollie, Mindy & Ruth. Too be honest, I am not that excited about them, I think they are ok, would have liked to see more clarity and much more POP. So we will have to re do these next time I see you guys. =)
ONE YEAR!! Can you believe it our baby is no longer a baby. This year has just flown by and although she is not our 1st it was still a year of trails and learning lots of new things. The girls are same in many ways and different in many other ways.
Allison is a very happy baby, a busy body, we never had to put cabinet locks on the cabinets for Ashley, but think we may need to soon for Allison, I think I said this before but she is like a tornado, goes room to to room and destroys everything, keeping Mama very busy. =) She loves to play with her sister, if her sister will let her. She LOVES playing with babies and pushing stuff around, she also loves to climb on things. This month has been a little crazy, she cut four teeth in a matter of weeks she got the 1st one on April 1st, no foolin', then April 6th, April 16th, then April 24th. She now has 6 teeth total 4 on top and 2 on bottom. She has also began to take steps on her own, not all the time but here and there she will take a couple then crawl. Crawling is still her preferred method of travel. =) Allison is starting to talk more and has started using more sign language as well. She now says Mama & Dada and actually uses them correctly, she says hi, bye, that and she calls Ashley Aaa. In sign she regularly says eat/hungry, more and all done, working on please and thank you, but she doesn't seem to have the patience yet, she can be very demanding and has no patience, when she wants more food, she wants it NOW! lol
I am trying to ween Allison from nursing, but am having problems getting her to drink regular milk, I've tried different sippy cups, straw cups and even tried a bottle and she wants nothing to do with them as long as milk is in them. =}
Allison now weighs 18lbs 12 oz and is 28 inches long. She is in the 25% for both height and weight. Here are some pictures and videos of Allison from March 25th - April 24th. My next update for her will be 15 months. =)
Allison is a VERY light sleeper compared to Ashley, so I haven't been able to take many sleeping pictures, look how big shes getting in her bed.
She loves sucking her toes
I did not stage this,again she is too light of a sleeper, no way I would go in and touch her, lol.
She loves the mini merry-go-round at the mall just like Ashley. Daddy has to ride with her or Mommy will get "car" sick and throw up. =}
Can you believe it 3 sleeping pictures in 1 month, woo-hoo! This is Ashley's baby Lilly, Allison just loves her and it is ALWAYS a huge fight between the two of them who's gonna play with her and/or sleep with her. We decided to get Allison her own "Lilly" doll for her birthday.
Allison teeth did not come in in normal fashion, as you can kinda see she got her two outside front teeth before getting her actual 2 front teeth, she looked like a little hill billy for a little bit. =)
She loves to put things on her head, she thinks it is so funny.
Still playing with Ashley's "Lilly" doll
She learned how to climb on the chair and is so proud of herself for doing so.
Playing with her very own "Lilly" doll. The fighting has pretty much stopped now that we have 2 "Lilly" dolls.
her new Easter bathing suit from Grandma Cyndy & Grandpa Jim
Eating at the big table, because her highchair cover was getting washed
feeding and rocking her new baby
Be sure to scroll down and mute the music before pressing play.
These were truly her 1st steps accidentally caught on video on April 1st.
