Baby A's 6 Month Update

Well our baby girl is growing up fast, she is now 6 months old. We are on the down hill slope to her 1st birthday party. =) Baby A now weighs 14 lbs, 6 oz and is 26 inches long. She is in the 25th% for her weight and the 50th% for her height. Here I always think she is so big (especially to some of her friends) and really she is right on target. The Dr. is very impressed with Baby A's fine motor skills but a little concerned about her gross motor skills, she's not rolling yet. They are going to be sending a specialist out to observe her in her own environment to make sure everything is OK. I think she is just stubborn like her dad, and just isn't ready to roll yet. She does really good on her tummy and pushing up on to her knees, but we will see what the "specialist" says.

New things for Baby A this month are: she has started baby cereal and some baby food, she loves carrots! Baby A has also learned to drink from a straw, she attended her friend Averi's 1st birthday party, and has learned how to give mom a heart attack while sitting in her swing. (She leans all the way forward and puts her head through the toy thing- look at the picture) Here are some pictures of her new firsts and some other fun ones. 6 Month Pictures

On Tuesday the 18th Baby A turned 6 months old! We took her to Sharlot Hall (where we did our wedding pictures) and our friend Steve took her 6 month pictures for us. We thought we would share them with all of you. Baby A goes for her 6 month check up on Friday so we will post the "official" update after her appointment. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Labor Day Camping

Well we spent Labor Day weekend camping at Mingus Mountain. It was kind of a last minute thing, and turned out to be a good weekend. It was the five of us (D,M, J, Baby A, & Maq) plus J's friend M, Grandpa J and Grandma C. The weather was beautiful, we even got a little bit of rain, and best of all NO FIRE RESTRICTIONS! I built an awesome campfire and we got to do REAL smores, boy were they good. J and M had lots of fun riding her quad around while Grandpa J tried to keep up on his dirt bike. Once again Baby A did AWESOME. And Maq loved being in the outdoors, it really wore him out, he was so tired and dirty when we got home that we had to give him a bath, I don't think he's gonna wanna go with us next time. =) We even brought home a new friend "woody" the log, he was so cute and fun that we couldn't burn him. Grandpa & Baby A

Grandpa J got to spend a little bit of time with Baby A before we left for our Labor Day camping trip, he was amazed at how fast she is growing and loved to see how much she can do now.

Sleep Over with Grandma V

Grandma V came up for a sleep over last week. We really enjoyed having her up. Mom and I spent a lot of time chit chatting and just hanging out, I even got to tuck her in bed with a little squiggle. =) Baby A and Grandma also got to spend good quality time together. Grandma got a kick out of all of Baby A's clothes and enjoyed picking out her outfit for the day. Thank you mom for coming up, I (we) love and miss you so much, remember wooty woo. =)
