A's Dedication to God

Last Saturday at Church we Dedicated A to God. Our church doesn't Baptize until the kids are around age 10 when the kids are old enough to understand God and what he has to offer. We have been looking forward to this since we had A, so it was nice to finally do it. My Mom and D came up and so did the Karg family, and of course our good friends S & K were there as well. Thank you guys for coming up to support us as we dedicate our precious angel to God.

SCHOOLS OUT!

J finished up her last day of 6th grade elementary school last week. (Oh my goodness, we have a Junior Higher!) It was a very emotional week for J. She was really sad to leave her friends, her school and teachers. It seems like every year J has a close friend that moves out of state. J at the moment is not looking forward to Jr high, I am sure it will change as summer starts to wrap up. We are very proud of J she got all A's and 1 B on her report card, which is so awesome. We got this picture of her on her last day of school, doesn't she look so grown up and BEAUTIFUL?? We sure think so. It seems like just yesterday she was starting school, my how the time flies.

Even though school has only been out a week, J's summer schedule is pretty full. She will continue to have cheer practice two nights a week, she'll have a stunt clinic in June and cheer camp in August. She also has family vacations to look forward to, we are doing our vacation next week, were heading to the California to hang out on the beach, we come back from that and a few days later she leaves for a week to church camp, back in California. Then she will do her Hunt Family vacation in July, were trying to squeeze a Bates Family vacation in in late July or early August. We will keep you updated on all our summer activities, and would love to hear about yours. We hope all of you have a wonderful and safe summer vacation.

Fun with Cousin A

Last week A and I went down to spend the week with Cousin A while D & L were in Idaho. We had a great week. A's schedule kept us pretty busy. We got to hang out after school on Monday, on Tuesday we went to her end of the year gymnastics banquet, which was really neat and fun, Wednesday she had gym, and Thursday was her last dy of school then we had to pick D & L up form the airport. A and I both had a great time, and can't wait for D & L to leave again. =) Here are a couple cute pictures I got of the girls.

A's 14 Month Update

So I just realized we didn't do a 13 month update - oops. So here is what A has been up to or should I say into. As you can tell by her monthly chair picture she is growing like a weed, well, she's still a peanut but getting so much bigger. I think she has finally broken 17 pounds, woo-hoo. Unfortunatly because she's still under 20 lbs she has to stay rear facing in her car seat but, we have finally graduated her into her "big girl" car seat and car rides have gotten a tiny bit better. A has four and a half teeth, two on the bottom, and she is cutting her thrid top tooth. Her vocabulary seems like it gets bigger everyday, but still her favorite word is "DOG" as you'll see by the pictures she LOVES her "DOG". And since the last video of her animal sounds, she has added two more sounds to her vocabulary, duck and bee. We love that she is walking now but man are we busy chasing her, and man she is quick! We have started back into our daily walking routine, once again she loves to go for walks, she is starting to let us know when she is ready by bringing us her Snugli. Babies/kids are so much fun, we feel so blessed to have two wonderful daughters, but special in their own ways. We would lov to hear how your families are doing, we hope you enjoy reading about ours. Thanks for visiting. Enjoy A's new pictures, we sure enjoy taking them.

A loves to help Mom clean the house.

J's Tryout Results

Just wanted to let all of you know how J did in her cheer tryouts. J finished up her tryouts last Wednesday, and we got the word on Friday, J has made the SENIOR TEAM!! This year there were lots of girls who tried out, and lot's with talent. Since they had more than expected, they went a head and made a Junior & Senior team, they have some smaller teams as well, five total teams for Aspire this year. J is really excited about making the senior team, this will keep her as a flyer, and continue to challenge her with her tumbling. The senior team will have 14 girls, and they will be competing at a level 4 which is one level higher than she competed last year. Senior level 4 will bring bigger and better stunts and tumbling. We are already looking forward to competiton season. We will let you know as soon as we get the competition schedule. In the meantime, J will be working hard all summer to improve old skills learn new ones. We love you J and are very proud of you!

What a Laugh

I got these videos of A on Mother's Day, she has the sweetest laugh, I had to share. Make sure you turn your speakers up.

What a Laugh Part 2

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day! We hope all you Moms had a very special Mother's Day. D had to work on Mother's Day so we celebrated on Saturday. First D & A surprised me with flowers, Daisies, my favorite, and two very nice Mother's Day cards, A even signed her own card. =) Then we went downtown to walk around at the craft fair, which was really nice, the weather was so beautiful! Then we were off to Red Robin for dinner yumm. We came home, put A to bed and watched a movie before bed, it was a really nice day. On Sunday, A and I had plans to head to Phoenix to have lunch with my Mom, Sister and Cousin. We met at Macaroni Grill, and had lunch. It was nice, a little crazy, but nice, the restaurant was really crowded, and we had four kids, enough said. Then it was back up the hill after lunch. I am really bummed that I did not get to see J. Here are a few pictures of our day.

A's Animal Sounds

We have been working with A to learn her animal sounds. Here are a few of her favorite animals.

Fun with the Kargs (late ommission)

So this is a little late, but I had cute pictures so I had to add it anyway. After going to the hospital to visit The Olson's and their new Princess, we went and hung out at the Kargs house before our long drive home. F & A had matching outfits so of course we had to get a couple of pictures of them in them together. And because it was a little warm that day we let the kids play in the sprinklers in the backyard. This was A's first time and she had so much fun. Here are a few pictures of the kids.

Cheer Tryouts

Cheer tryouts already! Yup the season just ended and it is already beginning. This week and next J we be trying out again for Team Aspire. The girls will have to prove them selves once more. They will be judged on their cheer moves, dance moves, tumbling and stunting skills. We are not sure how many teams or what size of teams the coach is looking for, but we are pretty confidant J will be returning. Last weekend J had a private tumbling lesson with her coach, and this is a video of her working on her full twisting back flip. We will let you know as soon as tryouts are over where J stands on her new team.

M turns 30!

30! Wow am I getting old. Just kidding you are only as old as you feel, and I am feeling great! I had originally tried to plan an 80's themed birthday party at the roller skating rink I grew up at, but it just was too busy of a weekend, I still want to do it, just need to find another time to do it. I had a great birthday anyway. First, it started with D making me a great delicious breakfast. Then my Mom, and my Sisters family all came up from Phoenix and we went to the park and had a picnic. It was a lot of fun. I think we actually got more quality time doing it like that, rather than going to a restaurant with four kids. The kids played on the playground equipment, played a little bit of Frisbee, and some T-ball, they ran off lot's of energy. Then, D's Mom, and our Sister in law L, and Niece A came up from Phoenix we met them at Macayos along with our good friend Scot for some yummy Mexican food. It was great spending the day with family, and I really appreciate everyone coming up to make my 30th Birthday so special. The only bummer was J had her first night of Cheer tryouts so she wasn't able to join us for dinner. Thank you all and I love you.

Time with Friends

An old friend, Lia, got married here in Prescott this past weekend. We were not invited to the wedding because it has been years since we have talked but some of our good friends were, and we got to spend a little bit of time with them. We have not seen Amy since our wedding because she now live in California, so it was a special treat to spend time with her. Carrie & JohnVince & AmyCarrie, Myself & AmyMe & Amy
