Weekend at Aunt E's

Me and Baby A took a trip down to Phoenix to visit with D, E and the kids. It was great to get to spend some much needed time with my sister. Little D enjoyed playing with his little cousin.

4 Months Old

Hello to all my family and friends. I just wanted to let you know that I am now four months old and my mommy and daddy say that I am getting big quick. I now weigh 12lbs 10oz and I am 24 inches long, my head is 16 inches around. I am currently in the 25th percentile for my height, weight and my head, which means I am still smaller than most babies my size, but at least I am proportional to myself.

I am starting to "talk" a lot more and have started to laugh and giggle. I also like to stand and see everything I possibly can, and when my mommy puts me on my tummy I try to scoot away. I still love to go on walks with my friend Averi, and I love to swim. We have had a pretty busy summer so far, and my favorite part of all of it has been spending more time with my big sister J.

Love,
Baby A

D's Promotion

On Friday, July 20, 2007 D was officially promoted to Fire Engineer. As a Fire Engineer he is responsible for the fire truck. D is the one who will drive the fire truck to all the calls, and in the case of a fire he will stay out and pump his crew the water they need to fight the fire. D is a little bumed about not being able to go in the fire. D hopes to test for Fire Captian within the next year. In case you are wondering why D's uniform is different it is because he is part of the Fire Department Honor Guard. As you see in the first picture they presented the colors before the ceremony.

Bates 1st Annual Family Vacation

The First Annual Bates Family Vacation was held this year from July 13-15. We spent the weekend at the Pointe Hilton at Sqaw Peak Resort in Scottsdale. It was a very nice relaxing weekend by the pool.

4th of July

The 4th of July was a non stop fun time. Cousins T and K from California and Grandpa J and Grandma C all came to town to celebrate with us. We kicked of the Holiday weekend with the Fourth of July parade through downtown Prescott. J, A, T, K and Grandpa J got to ride in the fire truck. We then headed to Mingus Mountain for some camping, where we made smores on a camp stove due to fire restrictions, and enjoyed singing songs and listening to Grandpa J play his guitar by our "camp fire", we then headed back to Prescott for fireworks. We all had a great time and can't wit for next year.
