Cousins on day five

Day five we headed back to pool and Jessica and the kids met us there. (I didn't get any pictures this time) We swam for a little bit in the morning then came home for lunch, we went to head back to the pool but when we got there their chlorine levels were off so we couldn't swim for a bit. So we played at the park next to the pool. Again all the kids got along and behaved very well. The pool never opened back up so we headed back to the house for dinner, the kids played outside, played games and just had a blast.

The slide was the only place I was able to trap the boy s and get pictures of them all. =)

Day four with the cousins

Well day four was Wednesday...Movie Day. We met my friend Jessica and her three kids there and immediately they all the kids hit it off really well. After movies we grabbed some lunch then headed to the park to play for a little while. The kids had a great time hanging out and for having 10 kids with 10 adults we fared really well. =)

More time with cousins...

On day three with the kids we ventured to our public swimming pool. It worked out nice, we went to tot time in the morning, there weren't many people there and the kids were able to go down the slide and I could catch them or go down with them. And the best thing was Allison slept the whole time we were there so I was really able to see how comfortable or not the kids really were. After tot time, we came home had some lunch then headed back in the afternoon. We all had a great day in the sun in the water.

The sun was so bright the kids were having problems opening their eyes, I didn't even have them facing the sun, lol. Oh and yes Allison has her blankie with her. =}

After swimming we stopped at McDonalds for an ice cream cone.

Cousin Time!

Last week was a fun, exciting and exhausting week. My brother in law David (my sister Erin's husband) had a union convention he had to go to in Vegas, well after my sister got word of this they decided to make a vacation out of it. They like most couples are so busy working and with life that they don't get much time away with out the kids. When she called a couple of months ago to see if I would watch them, I didn't even hesitate and said YES!! I know how important it is for them to have that time away as husband and wife as well as the importance of us getting the time with my two nephews and niece, David 8, Kai 4 and Angelina 3. They drove up here on Saturday, July 9th we all hung out together and BBQ, they spent the night and were up and out pretty early on Sunday morning. My sister just asked that i take lots of pictures of the kids while they were gone, duh, does she not know me...at all? lol This is going to be a multiple part post, because we just had such a great week together. Here are pictures from the first couple of days.

We got a huge storm on Sunday, the kids had a great time playing in it.

Yes, that is the boys you see, I still had them this week too, so there were 3.5 days that I had 7 kids for the whole day. =)

On Monday, we headed to the library for story time, thank goodness for our suburban, because we were packed. David got to sit in the front seat on the days the boys were with us.

All three kids really enjoyed story time and making a craft. David even checked out a book about Cobras, he loved it so much he even did a book report about them for his parents, he even drew his own cobra.

Grandparents...

Grandma & Grandpa watched the girls so I could go visit my brother, when I came back this is how I found them on the couch, it was so sweet! Thank you guys so much for watching them, I really appreciated it and they loved it.

4th of July

Happy 4th of July to all of you! We hope that you had a great day. Our day was good, much more laid back then originally planned and much quieter then past years. Our original plan was to be down at Pioneer park doing all the many activities like last year, but it really makes for a long day and it would be really hard now that Allison and Peityn were mobile, but really our biggest reason for not going was the high chance for thunderstorms. So instead we opted to hang here at our house, everyone headed here and we BBQ for lunch and dinner. We played games, the kids played on the play set, in the bounce house in the water and Ashley & Braden caught lizards. Once the sun went down we headed towards town to watch fireworks. Overall it turned out to be a nice day. Oh, and that rain yeah didn't come till later in the evening and wasn't even that bad we totally could have wadded it out had we been at the park. =}
