So I decided to venture out the other day with all three kids to the movies. We went to see Hotel for Dogs, and the kids really liked it. All three did good, and it wasn't as crazy as I thought it would be, I definatly had my hands full thank goodness Grandma C was there to help me, I don't think I will try it agin anytime soon especially by myself.

A visit from Grandma
Grandma C came up this week for a visit. She joined us at The Welcome Home Party for our friend and fire fighter wife Kristi, she stayed the night and got to spend lots of quality time with A. They even played in the sprinklers together. Grandma also went on a 'date' with us to the movies to see Hotel for Dogs, then it was back down the hill for her. Thank you so much for coming up Grandma, we had lots of fun and enjoyed the time with you.

Our Little Scare
So last week A and I came home from the movies to discover that our back door had been broken. We immediately got out of the house and we called our neighbor to come over and check things out. He 'cleared' the house, it didn't appear that anybody had been in the house or that anything was missing so we went out side to see if we can find what broke the back door. Again we turned up nothing. A little bit after he left I noticed A's play house wide open (which was closed up when we checked the back earlier) and her stuff kinda thrown around. My heart started racing and thought to myself someone was in there, and left while I wasn't paying attention. At this point I called the cops. They came out a little bit later and confirmed what I had been thinking. We came home and scared a possible robber away. It appeared that they used a piece of fire wood to break the door, and because I came home while they were trying to get in, they didn't make it all the way in nor have enough time to get away so hid in A's playhouse till the coast was clear.
The cops did say there have been a serious of break ins in the area. They have been non violent, and are usually taking place during the day while people are not home. Needless to say I have been a huge scardy cat especially with as much as A and I are alone. We haven't been spending much time here, especially at night. Thank you so much to our neighbors who have been letting us stay there while D is away until we feel more comfortable again. This never would have happend if Maq were around.

NKOTB
Let me just start by saying I LOVE THE NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK! I am a huge fan and have been since they were popular the first time in the late 80's early 90's. I was very lucky as a kid to get to go to the concert and sit 4th row at Compton Terrace and even had back stage passes. That is when I fell in love with Danny, because he told me he loved me. =D Anyway, they have now come to Phoenix two different times, and I have not yet gotten to go see them. A couple of my girlfriends from elementary school got to go this passed Sunday and were so nice to share there pictures, and because I love them so much I had to post them =)

A's 1st Dentist Appointment
We took A to the dentist the last week for her first visit. Our dentist thought it would be a good idea since she now has all her baby teeth, they also just wanted her to come in on a good note, to introduce her to all the stuff, so if we have to go back for anything it won't be as scary. At first she wanted nothing to do with any of it! But once she warmed up she loved it! She let them look at her teeth, she helped them count her teeth, and even let them polish them. Her favorite part was getting a new blue tooth brush. =)

Our Snake
No, we didn't get a pet snake but the other day we were outside playing and the little boy Arlo I babysit, goes "ooo snake look" and when I looked I almost died! There was a huge snake less then 5 feet away from where the kids were playing. He seemed to be a very mellow snake, he was about 5 to 6 feet in length. We sat and watched him slither around the yard for about 15 minutes. When the boys' parents came to pick the kids up we told them about the cool snake we saw, he told me to email him pictures and he would find out from a colleague who is a herpetologist what kind of snake it was. This is what the colleague said: "How lucky you are to have such a beautiful Gopher Snake at home. This is a harmless snake that can be really effective preying on rodents. It is a popular "pet snake". I hope you see it again!!" I am not sure we wanna see it again. =)

Hose Cart Races & Bucket Brigades
It is a annual Prescott Fire tradition to have a Hose Cart & Bucket Brigade tournament every 4th of July weekend. Prescott and other surrounding Fire Departments come out every year for the big water battle. We are hoping one of these years D's brother will bring a team up from Avondale. =) This is always a fun and wet event, this year was one of the biggest, we had tons of on lookers, as well as lots of team entry's, we even had a DPS team, and a few different wives teams. Prescott is the oldest fire department in the state and these races use the techniques they used to use in the old days to put out fires.
D and his team competed in both the Hose Cart races as well as the Bucket Brigades, they won a few races but overall lost the trophy, but they had a blast participating.
I too was on a "Prescott Fire Ladies" Bucket Brigade team, my team came in second place in the wives division. I also for the first time this year joined a Wives hose cart team, and had a blast! It was so much fun and even better, we took home the championship! We cannot wait to do it again next year.

This is one of the Kargs' favorite events to come to Prescott for, so of course they were here. All the kids just love playing in the water and getting as wet as they possibly can. After the races we all head to the park to attend the annual Union Picnic for the Firemen and there families. There we just enjoy eating, hanging out and no party would be complete without dancing. =) Thank you again so much for coming up Karg family, as usual we always have fun and enjoy your company. R next year you are getting dunked in the trauf!
