All about J

It has been a while since I have done an update on J so thought I would do one now. J is the typical 13 year old girl. She loves to shop, text, hang out with friends, and if there is time spend time with family. =)

J is doing very well in school, we just got her third semester report card and she got straight A's! Woo-hoo! If she keeps these study habits up she is gonna have no problem getting into the college of her choice. J still plans on going into fashion, she'd love to design her own line of clothing. Watch out Juicy Couture.

J also keeps very busy with cheerleading 3 nights a week and a small church group on Wednesday nights. J's cheer team is getting ready for Nationals in Las Vegas this up coming weekend, we are so excited! J has made the decision that this will be her last season doing all-star competitive cheerleading. Her plans for next year are to take a tumbling class to improve her current skills and learn new ones to help her for high school cheerleading. She also wants to join a gym to get in shape. I know, silly, she's perfect and beautiful now. =)

It is only March, ok well almost April and J's summer schedule is already pretty full, which include a few different fun family vacations. We are so blessed, to have such a wonderful, beautiful, smart and intelligent daughter that makes us so happy and proud! We love you J!

Quick Update on A

We had A's 2 year well-baby check up today, and it went well. A weighed in at 23 pounds and is now 32 inches tall. She is in the 10th percentile for both her height and weight. This is the age that you double their height to see how tall they will be as an adult, so that means A will be 64 inches or 5'4", which is perfect, because that is how tall I am. =) The Doctor is very impressed with the size of A's vocabulary, she may be in only the 10th percentile for height and weight but she says her brain is in the 100th + percentile. =) A did get one shot, but the good news is no more shots till shes four, woo-hoo, and even better, as long as A stays healthy we won't need to go back until she is 3!

On a side note, A has been having some problems with her pee-pee. A few weeks ago we thought A may have had a urinary tract infection or something because nothing looked visibly wrong and she was crying when she went potty, when we wiped her, washed her, urgh it was terrible. Anyway, they ran some tests and they came back negative. Well, she is still fussing when we wipe or wash her, so they are gonna run some more tests just to double check. Were not sure if there is something wrong, or if it's because shes potty training or what, but better safe then sorry . We will keep you posted, talk to you soon.

Fun Weekend

Thought I would post some pictures from our weekend. On Friday night we got together with our friends The Burkes. We met them in our birthing classes, and had our girls just a few days apart. Well, because the girls' birthday's are so close we ended up missing each others parties due to them being on the same day, so we did dinner and the girls' exchanged gifts. A got a new Mickey Mouse doll, blankie, dish set and picture holder for her room, she loves them all. The girls had a blast playing together, and even got there daddy's to play ring-around-a-rosy with them. =)

Saturday was such a beautiful day outside so I decided to set the bounce house up for the day. A invited a few of her little boyfriends over to play with her, they all had a blast.

Think I am interrupting her on the phone?

Another Birthday Party for A

The whole purpose for us going to Phoenix last weekend was for A's birthday party. We had decided since the weather was so unpredictable up here this time of year, we would have a birthday party for her in Phoenix. We were very grateful that our "bestest" friends, The Kargs let us have the party at there house. And what a beautiful day it was. Once again we tried to keep it simple, had some snacky foods, cake and ice cream and a bounce house for the kids. It was so nice to see and spend a little bit of time with all the family and close friends. A got lots of great gifts, thank you to everyone who came, we love and miss you all. Here are a few, ok a lot of pictures from her party.

P.S. She is still walking around the house singing Happy Birthday to herself. The other night after we said our prayers at the dinner table we had to sing "Happy Birthday" to her again.

Aunt E made the cake isn't it so cute? It was really good. =)

Friday Night Lights

This passed weekend we headed down the mountain, for a few different things. (More posts to follow) But while down got to catch one of J Kargs flag football games. It was fun to watch, J scored the only points for his team, 2 touchdowns and a safety, he was the MVP of the game. We got there a little late so we didn't get to see F Karg cheer, but she showed us some moves during her big brothers game. Keep up the awesome job J & F, we loved seeing you guys play. J is #10
TOUCHDOWN!

A turns 2!

We no longer have a baby on our hands, we have a toddler, a little girl. Oh, I am so sad, well excited too. Although our little girl is growing, in the Dr's eyes she is still a peanut. We won't have her well baby appointment until the 30th but we had to make a trip to the Dr last week for what we thought was a bladder infection, turns out nothing was wrong, but while we were there she did get weighed. A now weighs 23 lbs, which puts her in the bottom of the 3rd percent for other kids her age. =}
I think I say this every month, but she is really talking up a storm! She is doing more and more three and four word combinations everyday. She has recently learned her shapes and can even sometimes draw them. She also has a good part of her ABC's down. Of course we are still working on counting she is up to 10 in her own little way. =) The weather has been somewhat nice lately so we have been spending more time outside, if she had it her way she'd be out there all day and most of the night. Potty training is still going well. We have our good days and bad days, hopefully it won't be too much longer. =) A has also recently taken an interest in showers instead of baths, she just loves them!
For A's actual birthday we took her to play at Freedom Station, which has all kinds of fun activities for kids (soft play, bumper cars, mini golf, etc.). She loved playing in the "soft" play area. After playing we went and got her her free ice cream cone from Baskin Robbins. We wrapped up our day with pizza for dinner and playing out back on the swing. She was sure pooped b the end of the night.

D & M's Snowboarding Trip

D, J and I had been planning a snowboarding trip to Utah over spring break, well at the last minute, plans fell through. Since D had already gotten all the time off of work to go, we decided that the two of us would go have a day on the slopes together. So St. Patricks Day morning we got up early and headed to Sunrise, for a day in the snow. I have never been snowboarding before and I had a blast, except for the fact that I could barely move the next day. =) D was a great and patient teacher. I can't wait till the three of us can go together. Thank you so much to our friends the Sanders for watching A for us, we owe you guys. =)
