Tucson Getaway

We got to get a little weekend getaway in last week.  Not sure if I have said it on here or not but last Fall Dan became the President of the Prescott Fire Department Union.  This has taken him away from us even more then the 3 jobs he is working.  But he is so good at what he does and has the respect of so many of the guys. With that said Dan had a fire union convention down in Tucson, so us girls decide to tag along.  We had a great time, very relaxing and very well needed break.  Dan was busy the whole time so we really didn't see or get to hang out with him much. For him this trip was very much business, they were paying for it, therefore he took advantage of all the information that was out there.  In the meantime us girls hung by the pool, ALL day.  In the evenings Dan had "professional" dinners to attend, so we brought along a baby sitter, Ciera, so I could attend the dinners with him.  The girls love her so much and she loves them and does so well with them, she was a huge help the whole trip.  Thank you so much Ciera!  Here are the pictures from our Tucson Getaway.  

 Arlo and Zeno had got me a waterproof/underwater digital camera for Christmas, I finally got to use it on this trip.  It was so fun and came in quiet handy by the pool.  The pictures didn't turn out too bad either.  =}

 Every night at 5:30 they did FREE tequilla shots, so of course we couldn't miss them.

 Dan finally got to join us in the pool our last day there.

 They had so many fun activites at the resort.  There was a lazy river, slide, 2 other pools, table tennis, foose ball, badmitton, volleyball and other yard games.  They also had a teen room where only teens were allowed and a kid room wher the kids could go to play, do crafts, watch movies and have snacks.  The girls were in heaven. Oh, and they had an amazing 3 story spa, where I got an awesome massage one morning.  Thank you JP for making Dan promise me one.  =)

 The last night of the convention was the formal banquet, so we got to get all dressed up, it was a yummy dinner and a fun night out. This is Dan and Louella

Ciera stayed with our girls as well as Dan & Louella's 3 kids.  This was the site when we came back to the room, they were out!  She says it didn't take long, well of course not you stick them in the pool out in the sun all day and don't give them a nap, they will pass out super early.  =)

 We also got to meet up with my cousin Ivette one night for dinner.  We had some yummy Mexican food.  It was so great to see her and to get to chat.  Thank you Ivette, miss you, hope to see you again soon.

 After our dinner with Ivette we went back to the resort to roast marshmallows and eat s'mores in their huge fire pits.  It was such a beautiful night.

 I lost my spot in bed this night, Ciera and I got to sleep together, it was the best night of sleep i got while we were there.  =)

 Breakfast in bed..our first day there, we went and did a little grocery shopping, bought some breakfast and sandwich stuff, water and lots of snacks, really helped our pocket books.

 Ashley loved baby Colby and loved helping feed him.  Colby is Dan and Louella's 10 week old son, he was such a good baby.

 On the last day of the convention Ashley & Allison eagerly waited for Dan by the elevator to finish his last class so we could go swimming. ( I love how they both have their legs crossed.

 Oh I forgot to mention they also had a splash pad.

We had such a great time, thank goodness we got that little get away, cuz as it looks right now, this will be our only vacation this summer.  =(  We hope all of you are enjoying your summer and have safe travels if you go anywhere.
