A's 16 Month Update

What a month! A has really kept us on our toes this month. She had her Dr's appointment last week and A is still in the peanut range, she currently weighs 18 pounds and 5 ounces which puts her in less than the 3% of other babies her age. She may not have gained very much weight but she has gotten taller, she is now 30 1/2 inches tall, that puts her in the 50th percentile for her height. We have had lot's of people ask if the Dr is concerned because she is tiny, and the answer is no. The Dr knows were not starving her, and that she is very active, she also looks at D and I and knows that were not very big, so she won't be very big. =) A has recently cut her fourth tooth on top, giving her a total of six teeth. A has also learned how to throw her self down on the floor (temper tantrum) if she does not get her way, I am sure she gets that from her Daddy. =) Her babble is starting to turn in to words, it seems like she is saying a new word everyday. She is continuing to learn more animal sounds, and is learning her body parts. She has also started to use a little bit of sign language, and folds her hands to say her prayers before dinner and at bed time. She still loves to swim, dance, talk on the phone, and has taken up a new hobby, climbing. She climbs on EVERYTHING! Grandma C just passed down her Daddy's rocker from when he was little, and she loves it, she acts like such a big girl when she sits in it. Well, I think I have just about covered what A has been up to. We hope all of you are doing well, talk to you soon.

A is getting so big and smart as a whip. That green tongue is a gas I can only image her laughter. So the rocker works well I am so glad. Love Grandma C
