Our Vegas Get Away

D and I have been wanting to get away for some quality husband & wife time for awhile now, but it seems like there is always something, usually time and/or money keeping us back, well not this time, we finally got to go away.

We had looked into hotels in the Phoenix area, but weren't really finding any great deals, with Vegas just a few hours away we started our search there. We came across a great deal at the New York New York, for two nights in their spa suite, dinner and a show, so we jumped on it. D's mom came up Tuesday (9/29) to stay with A and D and I drove up that evening. We got in kinda late so just headed down to the piano bar there in New York New york for a couple a drinks and a little bit of dancing. The next morning we slept in, it was awesome! We had some lunch on the strip and walked a little, of course we watched the water fountains at the Bellagio and checked out the fall decor in the garden. We then headed back to start getting ready for dinner and our Cirque du Soleil Zumanity show. The show was awesome, I recommend it for anyone over 18 =) it was beautiful, comical and VERY sensual, made for an early night. The next day we got up and got ready to head home. On our way home we stopped to take a look at the Hover Dam, pretty soon you probably won't be able to stop & enjoy it, so we did now. Overall we had a great getaway and enjoyed the time together. It is so important to have that time in a marriage, it is so rejuvenating.

While we were away Grandma survived her two days with A, she had to go home and re-coop, but she survived. =) Both Grandma & a had a great time together, they went to the park and played and enjoyed their time together. at the Bellagio Garden
