3 Year Update

So I am a little late on this but better late then never right. =) A had her 3 year check up last week and it went really well, no shots, YAY! A has grown so much in so many ways over the last year. She has grown 5 1/2 inches in the past year and has gained 8 lbs. A now weighs 31 pounds (fully dressed, I weighed her the day before naked and she wa 28.4 pounds) and is 37 1/2 inches tall. She is in the 25th percentile for both height & weight. The doctor was very impressed with how smart A is and how developed she is in her motor skills, after passing the 3 year old tests, the doctor decide to try the 4 year tests on her, and she passed those with flying colors as well. Because A is advanced for her age the doctor thinks we may run into some discipline problems with A if we do not keep her stimulated. So we plan to keep her busy to avoid any of those problems. =} I have to say we got really lucky with no real terrible twos, but let me tell you the day she turned three they all kicked in, man are we gonna have our hands full once the baby comes along.

A knows all her colors, numbers and ABC's, she can recognize every letter of the alphabet and is starting to learn to write them and her name. She has also started to read some words. Her favorite color is blue, she loves Cinderella and the rest of the princesses. She loves to play outside, sing and dance. She is a very active and happy little girl. A is really looking forward to the arrival of her new baby sister. She likes to feel the baby move, tickle her and give her raspberries before bed.

Here is her 3 year chair picture and a couple older ones to compare to as well as a few other random pictures.

Good luck keeping her stimulated. I am sure "helping" with the baby will be good for her.

She has some great ideas on teaching toddlers.
